Boat Insurance

Why do you need insurance for your boat or personal watercraft?
You’ll enjoy the water even more when you’re not worried about the safety of yourself, your passengers or your investment. Here are a few things to consider:

  • If you’re in an accident or your watercraft is stolen, it costs money, often a lot of money, to fix or replace it.
  • If you or any passengers are injured in an accident, medical costs can be extremely expensive.
  • If your watercraft is responsible for damage or injury to others, you may be sued for much more than you’re worth.
  • Your watercraft also needs protection when it’s on land. Accidents can happen while towing a watercraft.

Things to consider and questions to ask Premier Insurance Advisors
Here are a few things to consider as you prepare for our discussion:

  • How much can you afford to pay if your boat or personal watercraft is in an accident, damaged or stolen?
  • Is my boat or watercraft covered for use year-round?
  • What discounts and programs are available?
  • How much medical insurance and liability coverage is enough?
  • Do I have coverage if I need to have my boat towed in an emergency?
  • What’s the process for filing and settling a claim?
  • Does the insurance company have a good reputation for customer service? Is it known for paying claims fairly and promptly?

Home and auto insurance policies may provide limited coverage for personal watercraft. Also, you may want to consider purchasing a personal watercraft policy to protect yourself and your water vehicle in the event of an accident.

Motorcycle Insurance

Premier Insurance Advisors insures a full spectrum of motorcycles from street cycles, Harley Davidsons, cruisers and touring bikes, to dirt bikes and ATVs.

You May Qualify for Discounts

One of the great advantages of having your motorcycle coverage through our insurance company is that you may save money by having more than one policy with us. The Premier team will be able to help calculate how much money you can save. You also may be able to save money on your premiums if your motorcycle is stored in a garage, if you belong to certain rider groups, or if you have taken a safe rider course sponsored by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

Liability Coverage

You can pick the motorcycle insurance coverage that fits your needs. Many insurance companies offer underlying liability limits high enough to satisfy personal umbrella requirements, which means that you may be eligible for this additional coverage. In most states, Guest Passenger liability (mandatory on all street bikes) is automatically included at the same limit as your liability selection. Premier Insurance Advisors works with multiple insurance carriers so we can provide you with multiple motorcycle insurance coverage options at rates you can afford.

Travel Trailer Insurance

Why do you need insurance for your travel trailer?

Your auto policy will typically extend to your trailer when you are pulling it — but only for liability and provides no coverage to your actual trailer. Meaning, an auto policy alone will only cover damage your trailer causes to other people and their property.

So, depending on the kind of travel trailer insurance you choose, it can extend past basic liability to cover the gaps left by your home and auto policies. Your home or renters policies provide coverage for your personal belongings that are kept outside of your home (such as a travel trailer), but at a fraction of your coverage limit (usually 5-10% less). This amount of coverage is simply insufficient if you have anything valuable in your trailer.

Moreover, travel trailer insurance offers physical coverage much like your auto policy would. Without this coverage, you would be forced to pay for the damages yourself in the event of an accident.

Golf Cart Insurance

Who needs golf cart insurance?

Even the most comprehensive auto insurance policies will not cover a golf cart or anyone injured while it is operated. Homeowners insurance is also unlikely to cover a golf cart or any injuries associated with it, especially while it is operated. For that reason, no matter what kind of golf cart someone owns, or where they drive it, they need to consider getting an insurance policy for it. That includes owners who drive their golf cart exclusively on their own property and around their residential neighborhood.

Golf cart owners who drive the vehicle on roads and use it as a frequent method of transportation should probably purchase an insurance policy for it. A homeowners insurance policy is even less likely to cover any damages caused during operation on roadways. Owners who drive their golf cart on public roadways are especially at risk of getting into an accident and injuring someone else, a passenger, or damaging the cart.

Renters Insurance

Renters insurance is a type of insurance policy that covers your personal property if damaged or stolen. If someone breaks into your rental and steals your belongings, your landlord typically is not responsible (unless you can prove they violated landlord tenant law by, say, not providing a lock for your doors or windows). But renters insurance would cover the cost of replacing the items. It also often covers damage to your belongings from fire, vandalism, and other disasters.

Special Event Insurance

Many businesses sponsor events like conferences, receptions, exhibitions, and festivals. Such events can generate claims against the event sponsors. To protect themselves, businesses can purchase a type of liability coverage called special event insurance. This coverage applies to claims by third-parties for bodily injury or property damage sustained during an event sponsored by the business. Special event insurance is inexpensive and widely available. It must be purchased before an event takes place.
